Installing new door speakers.....
 

Hello everyone. I?m ready to order new interior speakers for my H3. I decided to go with Crystal components up front, and Crystal coaxials in the rear. My only concern is the mounting depth. The front Crystals are pretty deep at 3.1", and the rears are 2.938". Do you guys think this would be a problem? I didn?t get a chance to pop off my door panels yet, and I really wanted to order these today.

To those that swapped speakers, what kind did you go with? I could use that as a reference.

How are you going to mount them? I tried popping in some 6.5" components I had laying around but I think some sort of adapting plate is needed to fasten and seal them to the door. I tried just screwing them to the sheetmetal, but didn't get any bass out of them so I'm back to stockers for now. Let me know what you come up with, I really want my components in there!

I?m not sure how I?m going to mount them yet. I haven?t taken off the door panel. I?ll probably have to make something out some MDF and clay.
