Cameras (Not Hitch / Back Up) -- OFF Topic

Does anyone have a portable camera they use?

Anyone have a Helmet Camera? How about a camera that could be mounted to a helmet, like a snowboard helmet?

I'd appreciate any advice or links. I'm searching with Google and am checking out a few sites but thought I'd check with the Well of Knowledge to see what you guys thought.

Thanks in advance!

-Matt

Oh, and I need to order one like tomorrow b/c I'm flying to Vail Friday!!!

For Christmas I got an Olympus Stylus 720SW to take to Aspen and I could not be happier. Its shock-proof up to 5 feet and water proof up to 10 feet. Also its 7.1 megapixel so the pictures turn out great and it is loaded with features. So to re-cap its essentially bomb-proof, highly functional, and loaded with features. Or in other words, its the Hummer of digital cameras. I highly recommend it.

No worries H2JP...I have a Sonny Digital camera w/a waterproof housing I use for scuba diving. I was looking for something I could strap on my helmet so I didn't have to hold it.

Thanks anyhow...

Funny -- I bought the same one...I was a little scared to take it underwater, but it still works great today after a couple hours in carribean salt water...:clapping:

If you are talking about a video camera I use one from www.helmetcamera.com on my motocross helmet and also when I do trackdays on my streetbike. Its aluminum case is contoured to the contours of a helmet, comes with a rechargable battery pack. All you have to do is plug it into a small handheld video camera thats in a fanny pack of backpack. The video camera still records the footage, this is a lens that attaches so it's hands free.

Thanks Fellas!!!

HelmetCamera.com looks pretty sweet but they're out of the mini DVR.

So no videos of me crashing in Vail :lame:
