So, we might as well get this thread started now so people can begin planning & preparations for our Rubicon '06 trip.
There will be at least one night of camping on the trail and we'll end up in Tahoe for fun afterwards.

Below are a couple of the better Rubicon information sites:

Here's my personal favorite - Del Albright's site:

I would like to...but I might have to leave the truck at home and just ride along since it seems to have "reliability issues". Maybe ride my Motorcycle out there for fun and to save on gas.

I ran the ‘Con 5 not long ago. We skipped a couple of parts and I don’t remember all the sections we completed but they were the hardest. I don’t know if you have the skills Dirty, perhaps you should run the easy Moab trails a few more times?

I thought all the trails in MOab were easy for master ski patrol wheelers.

I've heard it's an easy trail now after all that blasting. Either way, I plan to go and take the easy lines.

1200 miles? I could do that on my Motorcycle. As long as it isn't too late in Fall. Don't want to have to deal with snow riding over the pass.
