Alliance perhaps, but DaimlerChrysler wanted to get rid of this dead horse for some time now... too bad they need to turf 13,000 jobs in order to get back into profitabity. So in reality, this deal won't save the consumer any money when they buy a new car, it will delay shipment of parts, if any are available, and customer service will suck even more than it already does. Can you see the future of some dealerships...going nowhere fast!

The Germans are offloading the UAW and sucking whatever blood they can out of traditional american company. Euro economics 101. If GM is smart they will go slow with these negotiations:grouphug:
