I know I have seen a pic of a Red top or a Yellow top installed, I bought a yellow top and it just doesn't sit exactly snug. How did you modify, to make it work?

I have a red top. No pics though

Did your new battery come with the clip the fits the base of the Optima that allows you to bolt in it tight?

The cover wouldn't fit over teh Optima but this can be fixed by trimming/ the holes for the termials

The nylon web strap was too loose on mine so it is being only being held in by the base

No, dang it, I didn't get any clips. And the strap is a lil loose. I was wanting to cut the new holes, but wasn't sure if the thing would work.

Haven't seen one, but if the straps are loose, you should be able to set the battery on a block of wood under it to lift it up where the strap can be pulled down tight..
