post head replacment
just had my truck back about a week from head replacement and im noticing a roll in the idle when you come to a stop. it only last for a couple seconds but sometimes if idling long enough it will do the same thing again. do you think it has anything to do with new head

Re: post head replacment
I'm not sure what a roll in idle is, but I am sure I'll be listening carefully and watching for the check engine light after mine gets fixed

Re: post head replacment
I had to take mine back for them to update some software. Could be that ????? Since then though they had to replace a sparkplug and a coil.

Re: post head replacment
Boomer: where are you located? Any head replaced after april of 06 is the new style. I personally haven't seen any problems with the new style heads. I have seen a couple of vehicles with a slightly rough idle with no misfires though. I personally think it is due to the 600 rpm idle on a 5 cylinder engine. If the idle was even 50-75rpms more the rough idle would go away. just my two cents.
