What type of Header flange gaskets do our H2s have?

I need to pickup some flange gaskets for header installation. What type are required? O-ring style or regular/standard flat type?

The stock gaskets are metal multi-layered gaskets. The ones that come with most headers are more like the felpro soft style.

Which are better at leak prevention? Stock or aftermarket type?

If the stock are MLS I'd use the same type...they seem to be preferred for head gaskets, etc. as of late so I assume they'd be better on headers too.

I just bought the GM flange gaskets for the H2. They are actually metal O-ring type crush gaskets.

Just personel preference here- I use thin for stock exhaust manifolds where you have a machined surface mating to a machine surface.

For headers where you have a machined surface mating to a fabricated steel one, I like a thicker gasket. If it has a crush ring zone or screened copper-bearing sealant, that's even better.
