Stereo Question

Will be installing new speakers,subs, and amps to compliment my Avic Z-1. My question is how does the Onstar audio work if you eliminate the factory amp?

I still have my factory amp hooked up to the stock sub and rear door speakers... Rockford amp is hooked up to the front components (dash and front door) and the sub.

Onstar still works. The stock sub just adds to the midrange.

the AVIC should have an onstar add on for $100-$200...
