Annoying whine!

Installed new stereo this weekend:

(2) JL Amps
Stealth box
replaced factory speakers

Notice a high pitched whine like noise that comes out of the speakers that mirrors the accelerator.

Anyone know might be causing this. Didn't notice it at first but wife was in the car and of course noticed it and now I can't help to notice it.

Mine whines only when I accelerate but that may have something to with my supercharger! :jump: :beerchug:

sounds like a grounding problem with the radio. Find a new location for that grounding wire.

yup a grounding problem. try moving your grounds around till you find a spot that works..can be really anoying.. but youll find a spot that works.make sure its bare metal.. no paint .you can file the area down. also make sure all audio stuff ground is using the same ground. good luck.

yeah its a ground loop isolator, which should help. but it would better if you could just find a good ground for everything.

bad ground and also make sure the power cable isn't running next to RCA cables. Can also do it.

Also might be coming from the Prius that you ran over...
