ALL GM Vehicles. Condition Some customers may comment on any of the following various driveability symptoms: ? Extended Crank Time ? Hard to Start ? MIL/SES Illuminated with DTCs: ? Hesitation ? Lack of Power ? Surge or Chuggle ? Rough Idle ? Light or Intermittent Misfire Cause Due to various factors, the fuel injectors may become restricted. Extensive testing has demonstrated that fuel related issues are the cause of clogged injectors. At this point, no specific fuel, fuel constituent, or engine condition has been identified as causing the restriction. The restriction causes the engine to operate at a lean air fuel ratio. This may either trigger the MIL to illuminate or the engine to develop various driveability symptoms. |
Re: Latest Bulletins
Timely post! Thanks. :beerchug: My H3's in the shop with the cursed rear end problem yet again :crying: and I just recently had a drop in mileage  and it idles rougher. I'm not having any codes though. I'll be calling first thing Monday morning.
Chuggle, is that a technical term? I gotta remember that one! |
Re: Latest Bulletins
Good to know. I only use Chevron gas in all 3 of our vehicles. So far so good.

What rear end problem? Are you having problems with the rear diff? |
Re: Latest Bulletins
Well, they think so. It's got the same symptoms as when the coil burned up in the elocker. It's still there, I'll post their findings. The passenger side inside door handle also cracked to smithereens in the bitter cold this winter. Looks like someone took a razor knife to it!

Are the repairing or replacing? With that many trips back, I would yell for a complete new assembly. Almost sounds like the tech is not doing something correctly. |
Re: Latest Bulletins
Well, here's my dream world: The rear end does ok and grenades this fall when they can lemon it out and I'll get the Alpha! (just kidding, but replacement's what I have in mind.)

I run Techron through the tank about every 6K miles. You can purchase it from GM as GM fuel injector cleaner, but the Techron from the auto parts store is the primary ingredient in the GM fuel injector cleaner. Just a note, the fuel injector bulletin is for ALL GM cars and trucks. It is not a large problem in this day-and-age, but one that can be cured. |
Re: Latest Bulletins
