A cheap "to get 2 wheel drive" idea.
Since I got the front of my h2 raised up a little more to stop the tire rubbing and to level it out, the torque steer is bad. When I punch it, it gets really squirrly from the front tires trying to pull, then they pull toward each other and it becomes a tug o war that sucks to deal with. My tire/rim width may be a factor since they are so wide. I considered buying a front driveline slip yoke (anybody still have the stock shaft from when they put the lift kit on? I don't) that I could drill a hole in, drill a hole in the front transfercase output shaft, thread it and bolt the new slip yoke on, removing the front shaft. Pretty easy process, done it on a ton of Jeeps for a slip yoke eliminator kit in the rear. Then when I am gonna go wheeling (I only wheel this in the snow and maybe will take it to Moab) then I could throw the front shaft back in. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think I am gonna do it. I want this truck to drive like its stock or better and before I had the torsion bars cranked a little more, it did. The tire wear on front form the war of the two fronts sucks as well.
