x10 bazillion.

If you want it get it.

If you can't afford it, either forget it, or get a better job.

I'm guessing that the pricing will not be out of line for the H3 Alpha. The $10K-$15K hit on a trade of a 2006 H3 will hurt far more.

You really see it dropping that much instantly? I just cant see it.

I am about over hearing about the Alpha, and all these stupid updates that are useless. Lets all not talk about it till its here, and then everyone cant post pics and prices and specs and we can all rant and rave and scream and yell. :giggling:

No, not talking about instant drop, and not attributing much to the V8 intro. Just saying by the end of year $10-15K drop from original purchase price on 2006 models. This is actually close to a normal rate of depreciation for a vehicle that will be about 2 1/2 years old by then. Nothing alarming here at all.:)

Understood. Yeah thats too be expected. I have heard that else where, and it sounded like people were meaning that come September you value will drop $15K as soon as the Alpha is on the lots. A bit discouraging, but I plan on driving mine into the ground, so no bother. :beerchug:

Just to clarify my rant about being over it was directed toward the original poster suckin us into the thread in the headline and then giving no info whatsoever. :fdance:

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

How do you figure? You have $10K worth of mods, dont you? ;) :beerchug:

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

yeah im probably off here. but mods is an interesting question. will i be able to rip off my front brush guard and my roof crossbows, and sidesteps and just stick them on this new model?

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

I dont see why not. The brushguard is mounted to the front tow hooks, and I dont think they changed those demensions, and as well crossbars should be the same as well. Maybe F5 could verify that, but I didnt see anything in the specs that stated changes to body size or dimensions. :beerchug:

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

Actually im planning on that being the case, with the brits in the iran thing right now hopefully the US will march over their and conquest iran and decide iraq should be ours too, and then we can have that cheap gas.... kind of like that computer game command and conquer....

I'm hoping that's the case! I'd remove everything that's not welded on & reapply it to the new H3 (UCP, brushguard, winch, spring skids, roof rack, rock rails) I tow a lot, would love to be able to pull more, and more easily. I for one will probably wait 'till spring/summer '08 to trade, at around 3 yrs old.

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

I agree with ya Cris, I'm considering the new options also.

I have no problem with the H3 that I have now. Other than I really want the new front axle. Moving the aftermarket stuff I have on the current truck, over to the new Alpha after a couple of years, would probably work fine. I have a Rola roof rack that gets the job done, but would really like to put a GOBI up there.

Then they introduced the new H2 at the same time. Damn, I really like that SUT. If I go that direction, I lose money on all the aftermarket wheeling crap already on the 3.

The new rigs aren't even out yet, there is plenty of time to figure out which direction to go. I'm not in a hurry, my truck is running well.

I have heard that the front and rear bumpers have different brackets. So I don't know if the brush guards will attach to the knew ones.

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

I'm betting initially some dealers will try a 10K dealer mark up on the first few like they did with the C6 Corvette when it first hit the show room.

Re: H3 ALPHA PRICING

Once the ALPHA is released I'll be looking for an I-5 3.5 to mount in the cargo area of my YELLOW 06 (collectors edition)

Then I'll have a straight 10... (collectors edition YELLOW)
