HUMMER H-3 INVOLVED IN MURDER

SAGINAW (WJRT) - (03/08/07)-- A Saginaw man now faces a murder charge after a 14-month-old baby boy was killed in a drive-by shooting in Buena Vista Township last Friday night.
Jerry Long was charged in a Saginaw County courtroom Thursday morning for his part in the death of Stacy Evans, Jr.
Judge Randall Jurrens read off eight charges against Long, including murder, conspiracy, assault and several firearms charges.
The most serious charges could send Long to prison for life. For now, though, he'll remain behind bars in the Saginaw County Jail without bond.
Long is the first person to be arrested in the case. Police believe there could be up to four people involved.
Authorities are hopeful his arrest will help them find the other people involved in last week's shooting near Norman Street and Outer Drive. Police believe Long was one of the people inside a tan Hummer H-3 that pulled up beside the car the baby boy was in and fired at least 10 shots.
The boy's mother and her boyfriend were also in the car, but were unhurt.
Long will be in court again later this month.

As much as I hate MI, and specifically that wasted city called Detroit, your information is incorrect.
FBI stats for 2005 show the murder capital of the USA as Pittsburg, PA with 638 homocides, and that is with a population of 381K. Detroit was number three with 364 with a population of 900K. The 2006 states are compiled yet, or at least I can't seem to find them, but if I remember correctly, I heard it was Chicago or DC.
For 2004 the number one city was in the south...New Orleans. :dancingbanana:
