Finally did it. Traded in the Dodge Ram for an H2. Got a very good deal on a 2004 H2SUV adventure package, sun roof, ... And, it has a perfect LPG installation (cheaper gas, available in Europe).
Here's some pics, that are on my Dtw site. I'll be driving it end next week. Can't wait !!! Filip aka Frenzy Belgium (Europe) |

Nice man! Congrats on the ride!
![]() Pardon my ignorance, but what is an LPG? Laser propelled grenade? |
|
Yep Vtstomper. That's it. Regular gas is getting way too expensive over here in Europe, so it's better to drive on LPG. Especially with big american trucks like Dodge, Chevy, Hummer, Ford, ... My Dodge Ram was LPG too and it ran PERFECT !! Never had any problems with it. And, with one switch of a button (even while driving), you can switch to regular gas.
And, LPG is available at most gasstations in Europe. Filip |
Frenzy,
Nice ride man, LPG is a cool way to go with the prices in Europe especailly with Unleaded at almost U$1.75 per litre. enjoy the thrill. |
Congrats man. Sure looks like they had nothing but American vehicles there.

LPG or GPL as we call in Italy... were you have placed the tank? standard or round ? and the spare tire ?
What kind of injection have you used ? On offroad problem with LPG or swith to gasoline. |
That is pretty cool! I have only seen that done on propane delivery trucks over here...or trucks that belong to propane companies.
|
here in italy governement give us money to install GPL conversion... Mitsubishi..Subaru and other company sell bi-fuel car.
This is (GPL) is the only solution to enter inside the town when the smog is high and the administration close the town street.. I hope you understand what I mean... |
Ernie,
Very nice! How long do you have to have the "US Improt stickers on the windows" Regards, Tim |
Real men drive pewter.
![]() ![]() Congrats buddy. As a sign of respect, I won't whore this thread. ![]() |
Congrats on the new rig.
The color sucks! ![]() |
Timster, I'm taking the US Import stickers off. They belong to the guy who imported the H2.
Ernie Italy, the LPG tank is in the trunk. I keep the spare tire in my company. I don't do many kilometres (about 9000 a year), and don't drive far from where I live (so I don't need the spare, and I've got the air compressor that I can use to inflate a tire, if necessary). I don't know the specific details about the LPG tank yet (since I'll only be getting the truck beginning next week, it still has to go to inspection, get the right insurance, ... the usual paperwork...). but, I indeed know that you can swich to regular gasoline with just a switch of a button, which is located next to the steering wheel (left side, where you also see how much LPG you have left). The tank I had in my dodge was the biggest available (over 200 ltrs). Installed that one in the back of my bed (pick up truck, looots of place) check it out : http://www.dtwtrucks.com/Frenzy Filip aka Frenzy Belgium |
Congrataulations! You did it! Have a great time!

Something I had been wanting to look into is LPG.
Does anyone have any idea how it would or if it will work under forced induction pushing for HP and torque. You know detonation problems etc. I'm very interested in this idea. I know I can get info but, thought someone may be knowledgeable to clue me in quickly. Thanks TAZ |
I have been looking for an LPG conversion kit since I got my beast. Does anybody know where to pick one up?
