Chrome is for tie-rods.

How much turning ability did you lose with those Rodster? Do you really notice it? Also I heard there was an issue with them, is that true? I wanted to get some - have you seen the stock ones on the H3? Huge!

The only time I notice the increase is when parking at home -- there's a real tight turn into the garage off the driveway. Other than that, the increase is a non-issue. As for other issues with the tie-rods, I don't see any problems. To the contrary, I can only say good things: better steering control, better cornering, more confident ride. I had a chance to drive the truck in the city and on the highway after the Fabtech install and before the new tires went on. No issues to report. Ditto after the tires went on. |

It was something else, but that could just be hearsay. I remembered thinking about getting a set, but then was turned off by the comment. I could be way off target though...I hope I am. |

the only issue i've heard of with the fabtech steering parts is that fabtech doesn't support or recommend putting them on stock vehicles. they've only put them on rigs that they've lifted with their lift kits, so that's all they know. no problems with them on stock suspension, other than a few uturns in town that i ride the sidewalk a bit now.

Good point, shorterbus and good news: that's no longer the case.
The guys at 4WP had the same concern last week when my truck was in for install so they called Fabtech. Fabtech confirmed they do now recommend the HD steering kit for install on a non-lifted H2. |

I mean I could have been led on in the wrong direction, but I thought I heard that steering is affected. And/or is was a safty hazard...but I have no way to back this up since I am not sure where it came from.
Did you say that you had a hard time keeping the truck pointed straight now on the highway after the mod? |

Now that I know what kind they are, I just need to find out how much... |
Good luck finding that setup....you shouldve have any problem finding the rims, but i couldnt find the toyo mt's (35in on 20in rim)anywhere. They were my first pick but after contacting more than 10 tire/rim shops i and got the same answer(on national backorder) everytime i gave up.
