Going to AZ. Need HUMMER info...
Hey gang,
I'll be going to Arizona near Cook College (close to Tempe, I think) for spring break, and I want to know of some good off-roading options. I am going with kids my age (this is a church mission trip) and I have a few options on how to get my HUMMER fix... 1. Go on a guided HUMMER tour. Does anyone know of any good ones in the area that won't break the bank? 2. Find somewhere that rents Hummers and lets you off on your own for a while. Does anyone know of anything like that? 3. Finally, I could (with a 25+ year-old) rent an H3 from like Avis or something, then just go to an off-road course and have some fun. Any answers would be helpful, and thanks for your time! |
Re: Going to AZ. Need HUMMER info...
You have no options really. I only knew of 1 guided Hummer tour and that was in California, last I saw it was being sold. Off-road rental vehicles are usually pos Jeeps. As for Avis and the like... you'll need a 25+ y/o that is willing to accept the liability. You won't be able to be an additional driver anyways though and in certain locations they use GPS tracking and if off-roading is a problem there you might get some extra fees when you get back or even have the truck remotely disabled.

You might try contacting a local Hummer group to see if they will do something.

This may be too costly and it's Sedona so another couple of hours from Tempe. They might know of others.
