If anyone with 37's or 38's mounted on stock rims would be kind enough to post some pics, I would much appreciate it.
I'm thinking of replacing my 38" Open Countrys on 20's with a similiar size on 17's. I'd like to see what they look like. I'm afraid that the tire/wheel combo will be too narrow. Thanks, Mark |

How wide are your Toyo's now?
There's several guys around here running 40+ on narrow rims and it does look funny. Not to mention the stability issue. |

This is the rim. ![]() The reason I want this rim is I'm old school, it's hard for me to really like 38's on 20's (which I have)... to me it doesn't look like a off road truck as much. Second, I'll be able to buy a smaller size... perhaps a set of 37's which will in reality be 36's and with the 4.56 gears, it'll bring back some of it's power. If I don't, I'm definitely going to have to add a sc, I'm not pleased at all with the power of the truck at highway speeds. Last but not least, I'll have no problems selling a set of Toyo Open Country's with 2K miles and the nipples almost showing... I'm just afraid that the widest tire on a set of 8.5 or 9" (whatever the factory is)simply isn't going to look wide enough. Mark |
Mark- I am running the MTR's 37" on my stock wheels powdered black. They could be a little wider but they ride and look nice. I can e-mail you some pix later.

You haven't installed the lift yet, have you? I think a set of 37's may look too small with a 6" lift. Wish I had gone with the 18's or a little more aggressive wheel. Mark |
