Wheel width

So I traded in my navigator and purchased an '07 birch white h3 base about a month ago. I LOVE it and my wife does too. As I've always been a 4wheeler--I need some 35's. What width rim is everyone running? I've been looking at 16x10 and 16x8, but don't know of the advantages or disadvantages. Most wheels are offered in both. I like to have some tire sidewall, and I know that 4.5 inch backspacing is what works well. Sorry if this has been addressed, I ran a search and couldn't come up with an answer.

stock wheels are 7.5 , if getting aftermarket 8 inch would be my choice .

It all depends how much you want the tire to stick out. I love the look of my tires, they stick out alot but if you go through rain or mud the whole side of the truck gets dirty!
