I was quoted 210.00 per hour for labor to install roof marker lights by Lynch Hummer. Is this a pretty standard labor rate at Hummer dealerships?

They said it would take about 2 hours.

WOW. But they can charge whatever they want. Warranty pays only about $75-80 for work.

Are you sure it wasn't $210 total for labor. I can't imagine any dealership would ever charge that high a labor rate, especially Lynch. They have such great prices on accessories, I don't see why they would ruin it with outrageous labor rates.

That's the same rate that I use for an advanced level IT Engineer for quotes on new business. I guess dealerships can charge whatever they want but that seems pretty high for an auto technician.

My H3 Is at the dealer right now, having the marker lights installed. the bad news is the estimate is around $700 for the labor only.
The good news is they gave me a discount on the part $523.00 inc tax.
I will let you know the final damage once I pick up later today.

I purchased my H3 from Lynch, they charge $433.35 for the Roof Marker Lights on their website, so after labor I bet they are still extremely competitive when all is said and done. Plus, I purchased mine in Aug. and have not had one problem with the Roof Marker Lights. You'll love the look, it's worth every penny. Enjoy.

We sell the part, installation, and warranty it for the length of the vehicle's warranty for 1045.

I picked up my H3, with the Marker lights installed and they look great and no wind noise. The final prices for the labor was only $379.00, alot less than there 700 estimate.

The lights look great and I am so happy I had them installed.
