Hey, here's a pic of our latest mod. It was super difficult getting the packaging off, but I think it looks real cool on the work bench. What do you all think?

Ken,
I actually almost bought that one. That is the cobra right? I wound up buying a cobra handheld so I wouldn't have to deal with an antenna. If there is any "drilling" involved, make sure you measure at least twice!! I'd like to see some pictures of the unit and the antenna mount after it is installed. |
Oh goody! Maybe mine will come today to!! If it does, I'll post pics!

I have the same setup, and you can install everything without drilling if you use enough duct tape and cable ties ![]() ![]() Ditto. Have that one too. No drilling required. |

(This post especially for OC ![]() nice kit. you may want to consider loosing the spring mount for that firestick. they are so thick the wind will blow them at a back angle, causing you to loose valuable distance in how far you can send and recieve..... |
DAMN!!! I just got home and realized I have to turn the page. CRAP and thanks alot!!!
Ok, I think I'll have to actually put the CB in the truck to make it work. Crapdamn... As to the spring, well hell, everything else is screwed up now. ![]() I'll never get this junk to work... ![]() |
Just remember Ken, in spite of what some may say, you really do need to tear out the center console and dash to install two wires and a coax.

Definitely install under the center console but also you can put the cable under the seat then place it under the easily removed plastic piece at the bottom of the rear door entry (lots of space), then run wire in to the rubber seal along the back door, bring up to roof and attach to antenna(s). Works fabulously and is very clean. The hand held is placed to the right of the steering wheel where the original screw is in the dash!!j Haha!! I'll get pics if you want them!! |
I hate wiring through the front marker lights.
|
I never touched the front market lights but I'm not certain where your antennas are going to be? Best place for them, from what I've been told, are in the rear of the vehicle. Could be wrong though!
![]() You'll see with the pics. |
