Windrock, TN Hummer Trip

10 Attachment(s)
Recently I showed off some pics of my H3 "Brutus" playing in the mud at Windrock, TN. Here are some more pics of our group, we all love the mud and the rocks. I recommend Windrock, to anyone planning a trip anywhere close to East Tennessee, you will have a blast.

2 hours if you obey the posted speeds, it usually takes me about an hour and a half. Where in NW GA are you moving?:beerchug:

Crash, I will try and find out about the bumper for you. This was one of the guys riding with us, he usually drives an H1 but brought out his 3 for this ride. It does have a working winch behind it, luckily he didn't need to use it. I will see what I can find out and post later.

In a few of the pix it looks like a couple of you were deep in 2 ft of mud. Anyone get stuck there?

I went to Windrock back in Oct after me and my wife got married in Gatlinburg. I need to go back...

No one got stuck there actually, only one had to be pulled out of a different hole but if he had just tried a little more he could have gotten out.

Here is another shot I don't think was included above, this was the guy who got stuck in this hole, he burried the nose in a track from an H2, just didn't keep working it or he would have come free. I have about 60-70 pics from that day, can't wait to go back.

The bad thing is it is only sold through Hummer dealerships.

which is where the Amstar stuff comes from now after they apparently gave up on the dealer association.

Landers will sell you one. Bring lots of money. I think its around $2700. Im wondering how you ever get the cable wound on there even or get it unwound after you jam it all up winching. Dunking your winch in mud and water way down there has to be great too. Sure looks cool though.

Well Hells Bells.. Yeah it's AmStar... Had I known that I woulda known there was no need to ask more.. To much $$$$

Prefer the Tough Country to that any others I've seen yet.. Keeps the winch higher as a bonus.. Best price I've see yet so far to at under $1300

Of course I could recoupe some of that selling off the brush guard I already have and get down below $1000.. Hmmmm...

check out ruenels bumpers for the 3. They're by far the best ones that I've seen yet besides for h20.

Oh.. Duh...
www.reunel.com

Well.. Nice bumper, I'm not overly impressed with the brush guard though.. Kinda pricey too.. Base Price $1500 + $650 for the grill headlight guard + $150 for light holes + ??? for the winch option
