Valet Parking ...

Had to valet park tonight at last minute and had no where to lock up my valuables...

Has anyone modified or adapted a lock system for the glove box or center console. I understand nothing is completely safe but breaking open the glove or center box would be noticeable upon returning your truck... just want to keep honest people, honest...

Bummer, RYD! I've never valet parked my H3. I had thought, though, if I ever had to .. and I knew just prior to pulling into the hotel or restaurant .. that I'd drop anything I couldn't carry in with me into the area on the rear swing door. The area right under the jack.

Did your doors get dinged?

No, all was fine, this time...

I just don't want to stuff my pockets full of misc stuff if i need to valet again. You know shorts, a polo shirt and sandles don't give you much storage room for checkbooks, electronic toll pass, misc starbucks change, radar detector, diabetic kit, insulin needles, condoms, house keys, medication, bagel change, electronic tire gauge, expensive sun glasses, extra 9mm clips, etc etc etc...

would love to have a locking glove box and a locking center console.

open to all logical suggestions...

Put an explicit picture of your "special area" in the glove box and console, so it's the first thing they see when they open it. I did that for years and the only person to mess with my stuff was the only female valet I've ever seen, and I sexed her. Two birds with one stone.

P.S. If you are going to make your whole post bold and in a color, you don't have to open and close the tags on every line. Just at the very beginning and very end.
