Comments on Rock Rails / step up

Do you think this product would serve not only as a rock rail but also as a step up for my wife or should I look for a nerf bar? Thanks, Rob |

Yeah ...seems they were cheaper when they first came out a while back..Like $400-$600. That's Bebe's rig in the pic ...they do look nice.. The GM ones are like around $500..$600 But not built as well as the H2O's. So I guess if you want the best..you gotta pay. ...Heh ..How about a group purchase.. What-da think Duck..??? Wan-a cut lose with some of that Blue Coin-age...?? |
Re: Comments on Rock Rails / step up
Yall are missing one IMPORTANT thing here..
Note: Bolt to stock rock rails. H2O = $750 GM = $600 H20 + GM = :lame: |

Not as well built????? They are two different items. As Crash pointed out, the H2O items bolt to the "not so well built" GM rock rails. (I might add, the GM rock rails are about the best on the market at this time. They not only protect the outer rocker, but the seam.) |

I Ment... The Steel used and Covering process... Powder Coating..etc. Seems the H20's are heaver gauge. How ever...let me clear the air here.. I plan on buying the GM unit's as they are made for my Rig. I always buy the GM Accessories. I'm a GM Junkie. Now go Vote for Fred....:clapping: |

The reason he didn't build the rock rails? The GM one's were already as beefy as he would have made them. He added a step slider to an already great product.I've slid on some crazy sh!t that would have gotten my doors for sure. They work great as extended sliders and a step. H2O + GM = a kick a$$ set up.:p P.S. You ALWAYS get what you pay for.:fdance: |

You'll spend more than that on tires. It just about priorities, and what you really do with your HUMMER. |
Re: Comments on Rock Rails / step up
If I put 35s on, do I not need to take it to the dealer to have the spedometer adjusted?

Re: Comments on Rock Rails / step up
holy friggin subject change batman! So back to rock rails. I just ordered my GMs last week. I cant wait to get rid of my ghey nerf bars. I figured at least I could bolt up the H2O's at a later time. The wife and kid would like a step still. :beerchug:

Can you provide me with how you obtained the GM part and who you ordered it from. I went to the hummer website but I cannot find the link to the GM branded accessories. Not sure how to buy them or even find part numbers and pictures. Thanks, Rob |

Re: Comments on Rock Rails / step up
I went to the official hummer website and found the following two items that I think would fit my needs, but I can't for the life of me find a link on pricing or where to order. From the official hummer site:

Comments on these two items and how I can order them? I would assume any GM dealer could order them but I wonder if there is a better (cheaper) source. Thanks, Rob |
