hooking up airhorn to H2 compressor
I was just wondering if it was possible to hook up an airhorn to the existing compressor in the H2 adventure series ?
thanks for the input ! Frenzy Belgium |
Re: hooking up airhorn to H2 compressor
I had the same thought but the air suspension isn't partitioned off from the inflation system- which is why you can have problems if you leave the hose hooked up and an open valve.
Connecting up an air horn system to the air suspension would result in flattening the air bags anytime you honk the horn :giggling: Ok- not that extreme but it would cycle the compressor. Another option would be a reserve air tank charged by the air suspension compressor but dedicated to the horn system. That would require a solenoid valve and a little more electrical work to control the system and for pressure regulation. In the end you're adding more complexity and using a very expensive compressor for a yeoman task, I'd stick to a separate compressor with it's own regulation. |

you need to have a tank to store the air. A compressor will not offer enough CFM to supply the horns. tHe tank stores the air and created enough CFM to the horns.
As for tapping into your factory compressor, I would stay clear from that. Even having your hose hooked up to your truck, as soon as you turn your igntion off, your bags will empty..sometimes it will take a few hours. |

Re: hooking up airhorn to H2 compressor
maybe the air horn to the onboard compressor will be the latest crazy in low rider hummers, i wonder how high you could get the truck to bounce just by honking the horn. I've seen on tv some of those low riders get some serious air when the bounce.
