H2 suspension question
Hello, I have a 03 H2 and the truck sits higher in the rear, looks like it is jacked. It had air and now has coils with the stock shocks which i understand have a longer travel, will this result in the truck riding slightly higher, any one experience this. I checked the front ride z height @ 4.5", it is ok, if 4.5" is the correct#?
Thanks |
Re: H2 suspension question
Stock shocks with coil springs will result in higher ride height over some low pressure aftermarket shocks, as the stock shocks are high pressure charged. I am not sure how they compare to the air suspension etc

Re: H2 suspension question
What made you change from bags to the coil springs ?

Re: H2 suspension question
Shocks have no bearing on ride height, just ride quality. Shocks just control the ride, springs set the height. All h-2 with coils ride higher in the back to compensate for cargo weight, where air springs can automatically compensate for cargo load changes.
