Just saw the latest H3 Commerical.. "Buy a 2007 H3 and get a free sun roof. Aahhh...what if the 3 on the lot no gots a sun roof...??

As I learned a couple of weeks ago when I traded my '06 for an '07, this is a creative marketing ploy by Hummer.

All 2007's have a $950 rebate (available with 0% interest). If the truck has a sunroof, that means you get the sunroof free (MSRP of sunroof is $950). If it doesn't have a sunroof, you get the $950 rebate anyway.

The salesman actually explained this to me with a straight face. I can only imagine the hours he spent practicing in front of a mirror so that he wouldn't die laughing as he said it.

Oh, by the way, I got the sunroof. :D

Good move...my 07 has the sun roof..and I got a $1K rebate and when I bought it 12/26/06. They just didn't tell me I got a free sunroof...:D

I belive the free sunroof started before you bought your truck. The sunroof is deducted on the sticker on units in stock at time of promotion. new msrp stickets are issued to the dealer to put in the window for any on the ground. you get both. He fed you some grade A Bull Sh*t. When i sold H2 they didi that and that is how it works. the dealer knows in advance when the promotion is comming and get asked to order more trucks kwith kthe featured option. It is a way to move stuff at the factory. If the invantory is old, or the dealer has deliverd the unit to himself

There is no change on the sticker on any units for any promotion, nor are there multiple stickers to change out of trucks. This may have been different in the past. This promo exactly what HumbleAg said - clever marketing for a $950 rebate.

Sorry i had three drinks when trying to write that. Really? things have changed then. What about when they do the free DVD unit? same thing? I remember having to swap stickers fo sure. you still in TX selling?

Yeah me too... I use mine in the evning just around sunset... I also like the pop up feature for venting. Well worth the de naro.:D

every body benefits....we even have a few who have used the rebate to put a sunroof in a vehicle that had everything else they wanted, paid for by the rebate so it was freeeee.....

haha..you get a PUI (Posting Under the Influence)...No stickers for sure, at least in TX and I haven't heard of others. I'm trying to remember the DVD promotion specifics...I know it was $299 from the dealer, but at that point they weren't available from the dealer accessory dept or as an RPA from the factory - so it was a little different. It was a complete nightmare, since they rolled out the program and dealers weren't able to get the units in stock, and I know we had 50 people on a waiting list to get installs done once they became available...

Just like HumbleAg said. I knew of the promo when I bought mine and during the negotiating, I noticed they had charged me for the sunroof, then the saleman told me the deal. The $950 rebate I got was paying for the sunroof.

what do you mean rebate? did they send you a check in the mail? 'cause i bought my 07 in 10/22/06 before they advertise the "complimentary" sunroof.

or did they deduct it from the price, which would be weird becasue they werent even advertising a free sunroof...err....moonroof then

Let me clarify... Bought the HUMMER H3 12/26/06... Located by the man ..
Agriv8r .... Bought it with my GMID..Thanks F5 ... At that time there was a Rebate.. $1000.00 was applied... The Rig was loaded less XM. Saying I got a free sunroof was just an expression meaning it was loaded anyway..
