Rubber duck UCP vs. H20 UCP??
I can't decide which to get. The rubber duck is lighter, probably easier to install and might not reduce Ground clearance as much, but will it be as strong as the H20 set up? Anyone tried one and went with the other? Any of you Moab guys? I need it for the rocks out at Tellico. Pics would be good of either installed or in use! TIA.

Re: Rubber duck UCP vs. H20 UCP??
The Rubber duck doesn't compare to the H2O stuff. Plus, I've seen that RD stuff wiggle loose a couple of occasions. I have thoroughly abused by H20 stuff and it's totally bulletproof.

Go with the H2O UCP. :beerchug:

Thanks. I dont want anything shaking loose, sounds like the stock stuff after a few rocky trips.

Re: Rubber duck UCP vs. H20 UCP??
I don't have either. But, I have seen the RD bent and loosening up on one of the Moab trips!
H2O's stuff is bullet proof like CO said. If Adam and CO cannot bend those things, I think you;re good to go.;) Just be aware oil changes may be a little more difficult. Go with the H2O UC stuff!!!! |

The skid plate is 90lbs, I believe. The mid-rail is more, I'm sure. We needed a floor jack to install it. It has been to Hell and back without a problem.

Oil changes, Diff fluid changes, and T-case fluid changes can be done with out taking anything off. I can get to all 11 zerk valves for lube too. But if you do have to get to the engine, it's a bit of work to get off. It takes about 20 minutes to get it off or on and you have to use a floor jack. |
Re: Rubber duck UCP vs. H20 UCP??
H20UPC is hands down superior by far. Changing the oil or possible trail repair would be a bitch but when it comes to protection, I haven't seen ANYTHING that will come close to that UPC.:beerchug:

Does anyone here even have the rubber duck stuff?

Re: Rubber duck UCP vs. H20 UCP??
There are definetly a couple of folks that do. I've seen it.
Don't be embarrassed folks. Step up and admit. Admitting you have a problem is the first step. |
Re: Rubber duck UCP vs. H20 UCP??
My RD stuff is sitting in a storage shed collecting dust along with a prototype H2O grill guard.
