Re: Hummer H3 Mod: Improving Flex
Looks promising. I have not seen this. Although I have seen a few guys disconnecting the OEM links altogether. This looks like to be a little safer option. I would love to hear from someone on here that has this and has tested it. Of course the manufacturer will tell you its great. :beerchug:

Re: Hummer H3 Mod: Improving Flex
I dont think its manufactured from reading the article. But rather taking a current component and modifying for the 3.

Re: Hummer H3 Mod: Improving Flex
How do those shackles improve flex?? And where do you get them?

Re: Hummer H3 Mod: Improving Flex
Sam at Samco fab...the same guy doing the torsion bars makes a custom set for the H3. I have a thread on them here somewhere.
BTW the torsion bars are on order....you wanted a set right? I think they are YJ shackles...from Rocky Road. |
Re: Hummer H3 Mod: Improving Flex
Sounds good....Still dont know how that type of longer shackle would still improve flex....Maybe because the leaf spring is in a flater position when the longer shackles are installed??
I think Im going to pass on the HD torsion bars.... I really think im going to attempt a solid axle swap soon... Im getting my ducks in a row right now. |
