Thnk i saw an '08 H2
 

It was a nonmetallic orange, like that new orange offered on the H3 Alpha for 08. Also it had the new aluminum looking accents for all the parts, including the the fron of the car. I have a pic of it on my cell phone, but i dont know how to upload it on the computer cuase its not working how it says to do it. Im working on figuring it out as soon as i do ill put the pic up.

ill get it, i read the instruction manual and what it says to do isnt working, im gonna call up customer support tommorow.

good news figured it out putting it onto the comp as we speak sorry it ain't so great i was in a hurry. its a partial frontal view so you can see almost everything. look at post below sorry quality extremly diminished when i put it on the comp.

Also another reason i would think this to be an '08 is that there was no HUMMER written on the grill

Dam! DennisAJC you are absolutly right should have done that. I was too caught up with the Black H1 alpha that was parked over by valet. And i would have been late to dinner which i forced my family to go to haha. Luckly the gave in otherwise i would have never seen this one in the first place.

For some reason its not letting me upload the photos of the Black H1 Alpha even though they are within size limits. Ill mess with it tommorow but i have to head to sleep now otherwise ill never wake up in the morning to be where i gots to be.

But to quench your H1 thirst heres one i saw at the mall about a week and a half ago. Most amazing color ive ever seen on the car, the owner said its called Ocean Blue Metallic. The color looked much better and vibrant in person. The story to this one was i got on 95 im almost at where i was going i get a call from my mom "theres the most amazing color H1 ive ever seen at the mall" so i quickly got back on 95 oppisite direction went all the way to the mall just to see it. Good timing too the owner was just getting into it as i got there. Just in time to grab a pic and a few words with the owner.

that's not an 08. It does say hummer on the grill and those are the old mirrors & chromed bumpers

I think You are right. When I first looked at it I felt i could read the HUMMER letters on the grill as well as it seems to look like there is a black grill guard outlining the chrome grill. The color reminded me of the sunset orange on the older model when the sun hit the color from opposite angle you looked at from. The sun lightened the color. Saw it happen many times on one that color a friend had.

I may be wrong no doubt but, a look at interior would tell for sure. We just use to talk about how the orange color would look even better lightened up as the sun made it appear more orange.

We went to dinner the other night while the family was visiting and I saw 2 H1's, one black and the other was like an army drab olive green, however with the clear coat of course. I do really love the new colors that Hummer is coming out with. Not too sure about the aluminum bumper (guess I'm old fashion). The orange and the glacier blue are amazing. I was contemplating trading mine in on a 07 glacier limited SUV, but the price tag after the bank gets theirs is 84K. At this time in my life, thats too much. As soon as I finish CRNA school....I'll entertain the thought then. Thanks for the photos....very nice!:beerchug:

I can promise you all somehting it was NOT sunset orange, i know that color from any angle thats my favorite color ever made for the H2, besides sage green, this one was defintly that solar flare orange color, it was non-metallic, also saw it again after dinner at night with the other light and it was that same color, not any different from when i saw it at day. Most likely custom painted, there are more then a lot of custom painted ones down here.

I was at the Hummer Plant 2 weeks ago (as part of the Hummer Academy) and we got to examine the 2008 SUV and SUT inside and out.

From afar, the chrome front AND REAR markings are very obvious. Closer up, the HUMMER logo was moved from the chrome grill, down a bit and smaller to the black part of the front bumper. Of course, the side mirrors are the current "new" style. These would be the quickest and most obvious way to tell a 2008. (There are more changes, but more subtle).

The Chrome front can be done aftermarket, I'm not sure about the rear. The HUMMER logo either in the Chrome grill (pre-2008), or lower and smaller in the front bumper (2008) are the key.

honestly, i don't think that's an 08, but the interior would of been the final verification.

It must be custom paint on the rig in photo since it does not have an ant. on the passenger side hood vent. 2003 and 2004 had ant. on cab top. I think some late 2004 may have had ant. on side but, not sure. I know of only a few 2004's sold in our area that were late year 2004 and ant. were on top. I got an 05 which is when ant. went to pass. side vent on all 05 and later. Plus when i went to buy on 04 and got an 05 I was searching for orange first then green. It was May 04 and they could not even be shipped in as painting of those colors had stopped in March 04. Dealer looked and could not get one traded for. I wanted orange bad but, no go. I ended up getting one of only a hand full of the stealth gray SUV in Arkansas. Hummer stopped painting that color short also so they could make it a limited color which makes one of them worth more for dealer to sell. Same as they have done with other colors and will keep it up I guess.

It appears that i can see cab ant. for radio. My eyes are not the greatest and pic is grainy so I could be wrong. Do not think so though. The orange in the pic is darker than the later special addition orange that came out. Custom paint could be the reason for disparity. But the rig is early model H2.
