Going to Europe-- London -- Vienna -- Paris
Hi all:
I have been a member for a while. I wanted to ask if any of you have any travel hot spots for the cities listed above. I stay current on the forum and find the multitude of information and personal insight to be a valuable resource on many different topics. It seems that most of the members here are quite well travelled. We will be there during the month of July. Wife is presenting her nursing research in Vienna to her international peers. We decided to make it a major vacation. Any suggestions on travel hotspots, places to eat, or something worthwhile to see is appreciated. Thank You Sorry Placed in wrong part of forum, please any admin move to proper location |

London = $42.00 Fish n' Chips (Expensive Junk Food) London: Ministry of Sound ROCKS(very rave-like) Metropolis (Strippers+supersoakers+shower=:D ) China White a newer club super nice Picadilly Circus Get used to taking the TUBE, cabs suck and are expensive Bars Bars and more Bars Camden Market Paris: The Louvre Jim Morrison Grave Catacombs Effiel Tower ( go all the way up to the top) Any resturant Cafes by Bastille Square are cool. Cabs are cheaper than London. The Metro is dirty than Londons Tube. Or rent a Smart Car. The Budda Bar lounge I have not been to Vienna. |

Thanks for the replies:
I will be sure to check out the places you mentioned. And Frenzy, if we had more time I would have liked to visit you and ride in a HUMMER in Europe just to get the looks from the people and the navigation of the small streets Thanks again |

Re: Going to Europe-- London -- Vienna -- Paris
I've been to Europe a few times...loved it. I haven't been to Vienna but definitely the other two. In my opinion it's all good. You could spend weeks in Paris alone and not get bored. There are numerous guide books out there and several have suggested places to see based on the amount of time you have available in each location. Take their advice. Venice is also way cool if you get down to Italy and Cinque Terra is a nice place to chill for awhile.
I agree that London is very expensive. Definitely take your wife to Harrods. If you like mountains, definitely check out Chamonix and Zermatt. Have fun! |

Re: Going to Europe-- London -- Vienna -- Paris
Went to visit my girlfriends family in Germany last year. Went to Austria and Paris also while we were there. Paris was cool to see, we were only there a few days though. To see a good ammount of it you need at least a week. Very easy to get around though, between the subway and bus system.
The places that I-Man suggested were good, but also the Renault F-1 store on Champs Elysees Dr. Notre dame was also amazing to see. |
