TPM Service Warning... a new twist.
Have not found this from searching....
I have had my H3 for about 2 months with 3k on the odometer. When I am driving around town I never see the TPM warning all week long... but when I hit the freeway, not less than 5 miles at speed and the "Service TPM" light comes on and stays on. I get into the next town, shut the motor off and fire it back up and drive around, no TPM light. Then back on the freeway, 5 miles at speed and here comes the TPM light. This is like clock work. I wonder what the deal is??? Why would it do it when the tires heat up, and not while driving around. Are my tires filled with too much air and when they heat up the increased pressure is triggering the TPM. I thought "Service TPM" meant there was a bad sensor and "Check pressure" was for a low tire? Remember, my warning say "service TPM." Thanks for any tips!! |

You are correct. I'm guessing its a bad sensor. Take it to the dealer. But, out of curiosity, what is the cold pressure in the tires? |
Re: TPM Service Warning... a new twist.
The 4 on the ground.... 2 at 32psi, 1 at 33 psi, 1 at 34psi. Spare was 32. They all read 32 now. I'll see what happens tomorrow. By the way 35 Mud T/A on Adventure "stock" rims. Thanks.

Re: TPM Service Warning... a new twist.
There's your problem. They should be at around 37 PSI cold.

Re: TPM Service Warning... a new twist.
I think there set to go off at 32 lbs.
Usually during the winter it goes off and cold psi is 32 lbs in 1 tire I fill them to 35 lbs(33 inch) and no problems. |
Re: TPM Service Warning... a new twist.
i run around 32 on my 35s toyos and no problem. the weird thing with pup's problem is that it only comes on at higway. it should be the other way around. its probably bad sensor that cant make the proper measurement. sounds like a dealer thing if possible.

My Manual says for "2007" H3.. 35 PSI all around with the ZM6 off road Suspension and 33" tires. Any thing lower will trip the TPMS system. :beerchug: |
Re: TPM Service Warning... a new twist.
Dam easy to check ,top off all tires to 37 cold psi (35 inch)
And see if it goes on. I noticed it takes a mile or two for the light to go out after airing up. |
