"They gave it to me, I have it in my hands," said Uribe, who founded an organization to help overweight people.

Uribe's photograph appears in the 2008 Guinness Book of Records alongside a description of the treatment he has had and offers of surgery he has received.

Uribe said the editor of the book had promised to visit him next year, and held out the possibility of appearing in the 2009 edition as the man who had lost the most weight.

Uribe appeared on television in 2006 seeking help for his excess weight, which has plagued him for more than 20 years, most of which he has spent in bed.

Wonder if that pic on the wall of the kid is a weight goal, or is this guy a ped.? WOW, that left leg skin breakdown looks bad, bet the back and rear are even worse.

I saw the show on the tube the other day. Not sure when you tell yourself enough is enough? 400lbs? 600lbs? 1200lbs?

I watched a show on fat people last night on TLC. Some binged 33,000 calories a day.

Can't you just stop eating?! Seriously.:crying:

And the family members said that if they didn't cook and serve them they would get it somewhere else? How?

Tho, one dude had a cell phone and would order deliver and pass down a bucket from his window. But still, take away the cellphone and cut the bucket rope. It's not like they are going to catch you if you run. So gross.

I think I saw something about that guy on TV yesterday. They wheeled his bed out into the street so he could go outside, for the first time in six years.

I didn't see that one. Was he wearing clothes?

It seems like the guys never wear clothes. The girls do- albeit a comforter with some holes cut out for the head and arms -maybe some lace sewn to it or something. But the guys never wear clothes. I am starting a business.:D;)
