Jeep Lifetime Powertrain Warranty

Saw a big full page ad in today's Houston Chronicle announcing that the '08 Jeeps, Chrysler 300, Pacifica (maybe all Chrysler products, not sure) were going to have a lifetime powertrain warranty.

That's pretty strong. :D

One of the first things that attracted me toward the H3 was the superior 100K powertrain coverage.

That's certainly a good feature (the warranty), but having the best products is still the best way to insure sales volume and profits.

Many people will hate the product before the warranty expires and get rid of it anyway. They will never get to take advantage of the claimed benefit.

Which is why the coverage isn't transfered to the next owner...so does Jeep really believe in their craftsmanship, or do they hope the original owner won't have it anymore...their policy suggests the former..
