Hello,
I recently purchased a 2004 S55 Merc and was wondering if anyone has installed a Passport SRX on any of their vehicles. I have read all the reviews and have found some differences. How is this units performance (please dont tell me to go buy a V1). Thanks

BTW.. Nice car! I drove the new S500 before on the track against the New A8L and 745Li. The S500 was much nicer than both and I'm a real Audi fan. I can imagine how much nicer the S55 is. Again, Nice Damn car!

drtyfun..

White with ash interior. Its pretty nice. seats heat, massage and cool...gotta try to get that option on the h2.

PS. why does the nav in the h2 suck so much???? It can hardly read burnt cd's, etc

Peace

For everyone's info, GM has pulled all of the current nav systems. Way too many problems and complaints. I heard that the 2nd gen will be a much better unit that will allow the use of the CD player and the Nav system simultaneously. Much higher quality screen, also.

My tech saw it when he went back to Hummer school. He's seen both and says the 2nd one is infinitely better.

That's just one more reason for a potential Hummer owner to clean up (cost-wise) by buying an '03 instead of paying top-dollar for a '04 so that they can have the nav system. I will be happy to decide on a after-market nav system for my '03--- which will be better than the stock one in the '04 anyway. Any recommendations for purchasing an aftermarket nav. system for the '03 H2? Thanks.

but in regard to the original thread, I have been looking for a radar detector. All of the makers say that their top model is "the best you can buy". Confusing to me. The valentine 1 seems to be the mac-daddy, but I'm not too quick to part with $500. In a recent ticket, by paying only $40 and attending a 3 hour class I was able to have my record "erased". Makes purchasing a $500 detector seem pretty costly. I can only justify a $500 radar detector for when I buy the Ferrari-- not a Hummer.
