Removing interior trim

I'm installing some rear marker lights and I need some help getting the inside piece of the tailgate on my H3 removed.
I have removed the black inner portion of the tailgate (Where the jack goes) but cannot figure out how to remove the upper portion around the window.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Removing interior trim

Give it a good hard pull starting at the bottom edge. The clips really hold it in place, you may need to straigten a few clips once you have it removed.

The best way ive found is to pull a little on the trim panel and take something flat and push one side of each of the clips and it should pop right out, ive seen a million break when you just try and yank it out
