Flooding, heavy rain possible again through evening

You locals stay out the narrows this afternoon, okay?

KUSA ? Concerns continue about flooding up and down the Front Range thanks to the threat of thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rain Friday during the late afternoon and evening.

As much as 3 inches of rain could fall on the Front Range, adding water to already saturated areas.

Residents around Fort Collins and throughout Larimer and Weld Counties are especially concerned because of the flooding rain that occurred on Thursday night.

Might need it. I drove the TT today and am trying to get out of here before it hits. The radar map says it's probably too late and I have been hearing the thunder for at least an hour.

HAHA!!! When we got the deluge last week I remembered to turn ours off. I have some landscaping changes to make now.

The water ran so hard and fast down to the water, it clogged a drain we have under a gravel path leading to the gazebo, so all the water worked it's way under the path and moved a crap load of pea stone down in the yard.

I think I'll have the path removed and bluestone steps put in and then I'll make a bridge after having it graded properly.

11:30pm yesterday. OMG! I have never seen that much lightning and thunder since Moab two years ago. We had quite a show. The grass should be nice and green now too.

Thats too much water CO. You should only water once a week, long enough to give the grass about an inch of water.

Ummmm, no. Not true in Colorado at 8000 feet with rocky/sand soil. But even if that were true, it wouldn't apply. I just planted new grass. New grass needs to stay continously soaked.

Agreed. I think my driest zone gets at least 15 min of water every 24 hours.
