UPDATED 2007 H3X Driveway PICS MODS

SMA BGUARD (Thanks DEMO) 33"MIckey Thom MTZ'S and Tactical Rim mods. I went down from 35" tires back to 33's. The 35's look 100% better but the I5 in my opinion works WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to hard to move them when Iam off-roading. I have a set of 35'S with 2500 miles on them I may put on if I get sick of the Where are the 35'S comment" Chrome Stays until I can trade for Black Mirrors and Door Handles.

Looks nice, I like the tires (makes me think if I really need the intended 35's, or whether 33's would do the job) - BTW what's the deal with the tubular stepbar on passenger side only?

Ha ha ha I hoped no one noticed:jump: My kids need a step to get in. When the Rocker Bars get installed I will be removing the step and getting the removable side steps for them :-)))))

BTW the 33'S without question can and will do the JOB. Better than 35'S in my opinion. Once again MY OPINION :-) No Hater comments please ;) . 35'S look great but throw off the H3 construction. I have owned 8 Hummers and I have had everything from 32's to 40" IROKS (on my H1) and Ill tell you the way to go is the MAX size the vehicle calls for without a lift or modification to the frame/body. My 35's made my H3 a DOG and I just wanted to fix that part this time around. I agree the 35'S look tougher and may help in a mudd/rock situation but in the end I also need dependable ON Road performance as well.

My 2 cents.

yes..that's something what I thought..I figured that maybe your wife wanted them (mine does..) and you didn't, so you made a compromise by removing driver side tube only..well, with kids it all makes sense.

Oh, I appreciate your explanation about those 33's & 35's; I wanted 35's but for one I didn't entirely like the idea of stock rims being narrower by 1/2" then recommended for 35's (8-10") and whether it could have impact on safety on the freeway at 70-75mph, and also wasn't sure if going out of specs on the overall tire diameter is the smartest thing if I use the car 90% on the road. I'll still think it out - but sounds as decent 33's such as yours would serve me possibly better.

Those MT's look great :excited:

How do they feel around town and at 70/80/90 MPH ?

Would I need 5 if there the same size as the duelers ?

I carry a tire repair kit and a onboard compressor,I would only use the spare for a total falure in the tire.

seems as decent price - yes I'd want 5 of them too (can't find rim-zone but I'd order elsewhere, these MTZ's look really great, or the BFG KO's, either; I still need to get 5 stock rims as well - hoping to get those at my Hummer dealer; I'd let them install the tires and pressure monitors, and either keep my current tire/wheel set in the garage, or sell them or maybe trade them in.

Very Smooth and a Quiet Confortable Ride. If you already have the 33's than you do not need a 5th tire.

One hell of a good looking rig you got there. Rims look awesome. Tires...just right, if you ask me. :beerchug:

Sorry to high jack with a lame question, but can you powder coat chrome rims? I have that same style rim form the Lux version, but black looks great especially with the chrome cap.

Yes you can powdercoat the wheels. Better yet see if your dealer has a set of Tacticals laying around. I traded my H3x wheels for the tacticals

I have a 2007 H3 with less than 1000 miles on it. Would you be interested in trading chrome mirrors and door handles for my black ones? ( Same guy that contacted you about seeing you on Sunday, $400.00 price still good?)
Hope the race did'nt get rained out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

RACE WAS AWESOME, we sat in the inside track at the 90... PIT PASS tailgate zone is the best place to sit at the Glenn!!.

$400 is fine for pickup on the BGUARD. I sent you an email as well. Not sure on the mirrors/handles though the Chrome kinda is growing on me.
