DENTON-COLLIN-TARRANT-DALLAS-INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...DENTON...LEWISVILLE...FLOWER MOUND...THE COLONY...PLANO...FORT WORTH...ARLINGTON...DALLAS 349 AM CDT MON AUG 13 2007

HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON.

A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON.

A STRONG RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE ACROSS NORTH TEXAS RESULTING IN AFTERNOON HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 103 DEGREES TODAY. THESE HOT TEMPERATURES COUPLED WITH THE HUMIDITY WILL RESULT IN HEAT INDEX VALUES AROUND 107 DEGREES.

PERSONS INVOLVED IN VIGOROUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ARE URGED TO TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. WEAR LOOSE FITTING AND LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING. BE SURE TO CHECK ON PERSONS WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS AND THE ELDERLY...AS THEY ARE THE MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE. NEVER LEAVE PEOPLE OR PETS IN AN ENCLOSED VEHICLE...EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME...AS TEMPERATURES CAN QUICKLY RISE TO LIFE THREATENING LEVELS.

Hotter than 2 rats f*ckn in a whool sock!!!

True, but I've got to pull the humidity card. I could handel the heat if my sweat would evaporate a little and I didn't need gills to breath:p
