Info, please, whats fair?
Was wondering what was fair:
My H2 is lifted 4 inch Rancho suspension and 20 inch rims, 37 inch tires etc.. I want too bring her back down too stock, I found a guy by me who wants too lift his, What is a fair deal for both of us? He pays for all labor? We pay for eachothers labor? Thanks in advance |
Re: Info, please, whats fair?
Pay for your own labor and then sell him the lift kit at a much reduced price because it's used.....Let him deal with his own truck

Re: Info, please, whats fair?
ummmmm, how do you plan to replace all the factory parts?
Also, I think some things wer cut off of your front diff. good luck on this as there are a few mods made that cannot be just bolted back on or easily replaced. You may just want to sell him your truck. |

Re: Info, please, whats fair?
yeah, depending on the exact kit, there is often cutting involved and the truck usually cant be put back to stock. how muchyou want for yours

Re: Info, please, whats fair?
Or you could just trade H2's and save the labor .less trouble, less time ,less work, more time to drink beer.:perfect10s:

Here's a novel idea...call the installer and ask them. |
Re: Info, please, whats fair?
OK, so I sent you a PM as well.
Keep the kit on. www.gorancho.com/html/install/install/hummer/88556d.pdf page 8 shows some cutting where you don;t want to tey and weld stuff back into place. |
Re: Info, please, whats fair?
Thanks Tim
I checked out the site as well and noticed that too. Does this mean that once they cut things, your lifted for Life? or can a proper shop undo the damage? Thanks Guys.:beerchug: |

In my experience (an H3 and an Avalanche) putting things back to stock height/ ride didn;t work out so well. IMO, I would consider just keeping the truck as is or sell it and start fresh. Even if you can find a shop to weld back on everything you need, that truck will never be as good as stock. Why are you looking to put it back to stock anyhow? It looks bada$$. |
Re: Info, please, whats fair?
Like most of us nuts here, been there done that, just tired of the look is all, maybe Im getting OLD?
I have tweaked every ride I have had and have, It just comes with more maintenance and costs later on down the road thats all, I do enjoy the look, I just have alot of High Maintenance Toys at this time and they all cost too maintain them, and it justs gets old thats all. Im getting old. |
Re: Info, please, whats fair?
Your only as old as you feel !

God I hope I'm not as old as I feel.... That would make me... Aw hell, I can't count that high... Trade someone for a stock H2 and recoup a little cash, then lower the new one and put 24s on it... Dont forget the 48" woofers...:giggling: |
Re: Info, please, whats fair?
Park your trucks side by side and get to work.
Swap parts from one truck to the other. Have a welder handy and plenty of beer. |
