May be old news to some

I was browsing the amgeneral website and came across this little piece of info

AM General and GM Announce HUMMER H2 Production Agreement Extension
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Officials from AM General and General Motors have announced that they have renewed an agreement to continue the production of the HUMMER H2 and H2 SUT at AM General’s Mishawaka manufacturing facility. The luxury off-road vehicles will continue to be built by the proud workforce of UAW Local 5.

The current agreement, which runs until 2009, is extended seven years until 2016.:perfect10s:

We better keep buying hummers so GM can afford to shell out money for the new health benefits that they agreed on.

Me too! But unless some things change, we may not have that option 10 or 20 years down the road. Unions had their place in history, maybe it is time that we move on!

I don't know for sure, but it has to be incredibly high! I don't know how we expect them to be competitive with such expense.

Good to know the H2 will continue to be well built for some time. If only they could do something better with the interior. I'm not a fan of the 08 interior. Hey Brad do you prefer the H2 to your old GWagon?

I was just kidding on the sub compact, then I read this:

Hummer is making a model to compete with the Nissan Murano? Some people thought that the H3 was a stretch of the Hummer Brand! No this! My wife is looking for a new mini-van. When is Hummer going to offer that model?

Lol My family(on my dads side) owns a oilfeild contracting and Dumptruck bussiness and we do other things. My h2 was originaly his and he got tired of it because he needed a truck. I was amazed when he bought the h2 because for as long as i can remember he has always had f250's or f350's, so anyways he has a big hunting camp in mississippi soon sound that he made a mistake buying a suv because he is always hauling bulldozers and such up to his camp to clear hunting areas and such. So he gave me the h2 and went and bought a f450. Bet you cant guess the mpg he gets with that thing! And as for the G500 i never had one, but my step dad has a E55 Amg Kompressor and my mom has a SLK 285.

I'm Asian... Don't tell me I have to trade mine in for an H4... :crying: Although I'm still getting used to the H2... I've owned nothing but sports cars up till now, and my last car before this was an Esprit... Talk about total opposites.
