sell h2 and buy h1

Hi...
I have in mind to sell my 04 H2 and buy a 2001 H1.
I know that H1 is not comfort as H2....but wait your comments..
Thanks to all

You think an H2 is wide on those little roads over there? Wait till you drive an H1 on them. More maintenace. Way bigger cool factor, IMO. Rougher ride, more maintenance...wait I already said that. You need to have the capacity to work on it too.

....but abot the offroad capabilities?
Here we do not have rock mountains but mud...river and water...
The street are not little as you say...until you go inside old cities but now is difficult also for a smart...
And a H1 is not too big as an AUDI Q7...there are more there...
My only doubt is about to make short trip ...200 km...with my wife and child.

Maintenance...I have the Hummer dealer in front of me...but the H1 buy from other !

With the H1 things just break. Not so much with the H2. Shocks are like $345 each, thats OEM. To keep the maintenance down you have to do the work yourself, period! Walmart wont even change the oil on an H1. No one talks about this with a H2. Get front e-lockers if you want to go more places. I've talked myself out of an H1. I have an 04 H2. It just went over 14k today. I do 4 wheel as offen as I can. Got a trip next weekend with X Hummer. Low miles because I'm retired and live very near the trails. Arizona. I don't need a daily drive. Plus I've got other cars to drive. Yes I'm looking forward to aother H2. The only thing GM has done for the H2 is the 6 speed trans. The safari looks promising wait to see what options it has.

Drive one on a highway that is what I did and find out that even my Valtra is more comfortable on a highway@same speed... http://valtramme.valtra.fi/main/Prod...rie/Video.html

For a daily driver I wouldn't recommend it and if you get one "DURAMAX" unless you dont want conversation with your passengers during driving. I must also agree with higher maintenance costs too. Still all in all a great vehicle (I am bias since I will always own a HUMMER!)

then the H1 would be a better fit. I am in no way bad mouthing my H2, I love it, but an H1 would handle the mud, water and sand better. Trust me....I have had some bad experiences in the sand in my H2. If you gots the money then you gots no problem! Best of luck.

I thought I would chime in. I am fortuate enough to have both an H2 and and H1. They are both amazing cars and fun in different ways. The H2 as everyone knows is very user friendly on the streets and around town. The H1, well, it's an H1. Jaws drop, safety is NEVER a concern, and once you are used to it the driving experience is well worth any potential inconvenience you might think you would have. I have my H1 converted to be able to run WVO, SVO, diesel, or just about anything else you can put in the tank and have a source secured for WVO at no charge so I drive the thing all the time. If you are considering an H1, do it! It is truly a unique driving / ownership experience.
