GMS VS. GMID
 

Can someone with genuine GM experience explain the difference between the two of them. is it possible to get GMS pricing if not an employee, a retired employee or a relative? on an h3 alpha, does anyone have a breakdown on the gmid price (with a breakout on options, too) and the same GMID pricing. with either GMID or GMS can you still reduce the price with any incentives etc etc. all of this would go into my planning for a two or tjree year lease on an 08 h3 alpha. any help much appreciated by all!

I just used GMS on an Alpha with offroad pkg

sticker = $43200
GMS price = $38650
incentives = $2500

total = $36150

so gms is better than gmid? and isn't how did you get gms? i understand you have to be a gm employee?

gms is employee pricing. gmid is for friends and family of employee, so yes, gms is the best discount you can get. i did the same discount as jman. works out pretty good for the alpha!

I never worked for GM but my father did, hence the GMS discount I can use

It is very nice on an Alpha, probably wouldn't have gotten one if not for the discount
