Best deal on roof rack?
 

Who has the best prices around for a nice full size roof rack. All the ones I see are like $1,200.00, for some tubing and mesh, come on!!!!!! Any good deals out there I havnt seen? Anybody ever made one? It would be an easy project if you get your hands on those mounts that fit into the slots on the roof. Post pics of your favorite or home made.

I just checked a place called rackattack.com and Thule makes a cool rack called the M.O.A.B (mother of all baskets). It will fit the H3 rain gutters and with all the mounting hardware, locks, louver etc is $664.00. Seems like a good deal compared to all these $1,200.00 jobs around the Hummer accessory sites!!

that is the one. The price is the same as the other place. the reason for the $600.00 price is that I would also have to buy the mounts and cross bars as I dont have those.

Gobi and H2O are the only ones who make true full-length, custom-fit racks for the H3. Although the Boulder Accessories rack is almost full length. If you see any of those in person and compare them to some of the smaller, one-size-fits-all type racks, you'll figure out why there's such a price difference. You really do get what you pay for.

Sewie, it is starting to look that way, getting what you pay for. I will have to shop around more and see what I end up with. I guess it was just the initial shock of those prices!!!
