I drove one and it was really nice, but not $143,000 worth. They(AMGeneral) has really priced themselves out of the arena on this one.

Why not just buy a ticket and win one!

Because they're not really that great. I love my H2 much more. Plus, diesel exhaust makes me green.

I looked at a Alpha on the showroom floor last week and was shocked to find that two of the four interior door panels were falling off. Not what I want to find in a $140K vehicle.

Remember it is hand made. Only 2 robots involved in production.

MIZZOU H2 09-14-2005 09:41 PM

just b/c its hand made doesnt mean its better....

This guy probably bought one...maybe two!

I saw a black Alpha at Hall. It looked great, but way too expensive.

And he paid cash because that was the smart thing to do

After a tour of the plant and watching what they put in it it is very diffrent form the H2. You can get a dealer to take about 125-135 for one now. it is built to totally diffrent specs using carbon steel and special coated bolts. watching the aircraft alumnium body glued togeter is a trip. If you trully want the big bad boy the H1 is it. I never got flipped off in the 1 and the ladies love them (rag top)

DRTYFN 09-15-2005 01:16 PM

Oh, don't think the H1 is immune from getting flipped off. I've had a few H1s for loaners and they get flipped off just like the H2. I actually got flipped off by some turd recentlt when I had an H3 loaner. That programming is strong.

Timster 09-15-2005 01:29 PM

I just see hours of detailing.
Oh the pain!

DennisAJC 09-15-2005 01:32 PM

Knowing what I know now with the H2, I'd find it embarassing to drive an H1. People here actually hate the H1 more than the H2. Most H1'ers here are dummies who have never ever seen off road let alone gravel.

It would be like putting an H1 badge on the H2 then charging double/triple. People see that now. Suprisingly, some people think the H2 is the original badboy.

Must be a Canadian thing

For over $150k, I believe I'd just buy TWO H2s...lift one, put protective magnet shields on the sides, trick it out and TRASH IT - and save the second one, detailed and beautiful, for mall cruising.

I seriously love the H1 Alpha. It's simply NOT practical for me at this time!
