Need 03 6 Disc OEM Head Unit
 

My OEM headunit has a short in it according to my GM Dealer and they want $350 for a replacement. Anyone got one of these collecting dust that works and you want to get rid of? Thanks

I'm having the dealer double check the ipod interface plugged into the head unit to verify that it is not the problem. I'll let you know what I find out. It may be a day or so because they're not exactly the best service department that I have dealt with. Thanks!

I had the dealer hook up the headunit directly to the factory wiring harness bypassing the PAC Ipod connector and it fixed my problem. I have to wonder about the dealer service dept though they said the short was definitely in the head unit. I suspect they just wanted to charge me time and for a new headunit. Anyway now I'm looking for another Ipod Input or a 12v line that is tied to the ignition so I can switch this one off if I decide to hook it up differently. Sorry I don't need the headunit now!
