Any Suggestion on a Security Camera?
Someone in my gated community scratched my H2 from front to back and would like to catch the moron who did it if attempted again. I was thinking of putting a outdoor security camera that has a sensor to trigger a recording device of some sort. Anyone have one that is not expensive and fairly discret since there're rules on what you can actually mount on the outside of your home.

Sam's Club has various sets of security systems, that might be useful to you. Since you are in a gated community is there not a security or neighborhood watch? Can you go to the Home Owner Assoc. and complain about it and see if their insurance will fix it. I would tell them to go to hell about a small camera system since your H2 got messed up in a small fault of their own. Sorry to hear trouble and good luck to you. ~Richard |

I contacted the HOA but the person who's in charge was out sick. Hopefully Monday I will have more info from HOA. |

We live in a gated community with armed security. I'd read your association liabilities carefully befre you contact them. I don't know what kind of security you have, but if it's guarded, they're probably a contracted company. As an association in Florida, HOA are very difficult to sue. You'll probably find it easier to go after the company that supplies the guards. |

A panasonic ip camera with a stand alone sd card can record to the sd card on motion and also to your pc via the internet or local lan.
