What extra stuff does the Adventure package have that the Base model doesn't. Mine has the Underbody protection with 4 shields and the 4.56 ratio rear axle. Beside bigger tires and more underbody protection, what is the difference???

granny low gear, rear locker, suspension, carpeted mats, extra compartment in cargo area on left side (unless you get monsoon stereo)No extra underbody protection, 33 inch dueler tires.
If your going to do any off roading you should get the adventure.

Mine does have granny low gear. So is there a difference in torque?

I find the Adventure package just looks better too, a lot more "tough" looking.

- for shame I do use my H3 has my daily commuter too, There is another H3 that parks in the same parkade as I, his is black with chrome and the street package and when I park next to him it is amazing how different they look.

Okay, I get the point... I should of bought the adventure package... I'll just have to get a running start when going up any steep hills...

FWIW, I've wheeled with people who have the base package and they do just fine. There's been times the lower gearing and locker would have helped but they haven't been stuck yet.

ChasH3 - Be glad you bought a Hummer. Serious offroad ability comes as standard equipment on their entire line of trucks. No 2wd poser versions are even available.

Enjoy.

I agree Steve. Hey also Crash... I think just about everyone here that has an H3 uses is everyday for commuting to work. Seriously though... How are you going to buy a hummer and then not drive it everyday. I couldn't do it. I have just about a 1000 miles on mine now and I still am looking for reasons to go places. I have made a lot of special trips to starbucks this week. So yeah- Drive that thing everywhere!

Best of Luck to you.
