Today I had to pick up a gift so I decided to run by Starbucks. Those whacky so-called christians were out again and the guy with the megaphone said, "You need to get out of the Hummer and get saved." This was after some teen asked me to quote bible verses while waiting for the light. ROFLLLLLL:notallthere: :giggling: :jump:
And a...:fdance: to them! LOL LOL I did quote one to him...Judge not, lest ye be judged. I must say that I was polite and didn't utter one single F you or flip them off. It rather cracked me up. I also told him that he was confused.

couldnt you just as easily be saved while in the Hummer? I mean 'holy roller' had to come from somewhere.

tell me about it, i took a vacation in oregon and all my relatives did was preach the hole time i was there. they got upset couse i didnt want to go to church, and then they couldn't answer my question about the bible.

i asked them why there are so many races it the world (chinese, white, black ect.) and they said that people evolved in time to fit their surroundings or what ever, but i said that's evolution, in wich they said it wasn't.:confused: so then they told me a story which made no sense i forget how it goes. they where talking to me for 2-3 hours straight:yawn: . at this point sciontology sounded more convincing.

now this doesn't mean i don't believe in God or some type of a hirer being, but the point i was trying to get accross is that i don't believe in religion. i greew up christian all my life and i tried to accept it but i'm at a point in my life where no matter how much they explain stuff i just can't beleive it.
and of course through out history religion has had their hand in everything, stopping the human race from moving forward because the religion doesn't agree with these "radical" ideas wich in time turn out to be true.
yeah i know, i'm going to hell.

oh yeah, and my wife is a jehova's witness. making my life that much better but at least she is cool about it.
the thing that suprisses people is that i know a lot of the bible to contradick people.

Wow...the reason I ask, is because, it's one that I asked before. The answer I got was different. The story's meaning was that it was the beginning of the Jew not the planets population. In other words people were created all over the planet via evolution or whatnot...but not the Jew i.e. garden of Eden. Thanks for the reply, not many people actually discuss these kinds of things.

Dad,

A Jew is a religious affliiation, not a race. If someone said Hebrew, that MIGHT be considered a race. An Israeli would be considered a nationality, could be a Jew, an Arab (Moslem) or a Christian (and I assume there might be a stray something or other there)

When GOD spoke to Abraham he told him he would be the father of many great nations, The Jews, or Hebrews if you prefer, the Moslems (which sprang forth from the Jews) and the Christians, which of course are just Jews with with one added feature...and which sprang forth from the Jew also...

The Basics of (most) of the worlds monotheastic religions are similar, one supreme being...where they get conveluted is when MAN starts adding all the bull chit to them...

Then is a famous old quote (I cannot remember exactly who said it)
I'll paraphrase

Of ALL THAT IS WRITTEN in the TORAH, the BIBLE, the KORAN, if man would ONLY DO GOOD those written words (what is written in those books) would only be commentary ...to "DO GOOD"

I was simply stating the answer I got when I asked the same question as a young man.

You know, to illustrate a contrast in the things that fanatics use as their personal platform.
