SJ I saw the picture of your hummer with the roof rack with the tire. If you do not mind posting where you bought the rack I would appreciate it

I bought my rack at http://www.sportsrack.com/

$650.00 and it took me all of 45 minutes to assemble and mount. More cargo space, no rear carrier to swing open & close every time you access back of H2, no obstructed view ... we love it!

Only downside is that it reduces clearance if you intend to park in a standard garage.

Just make sure you place a towel between tire and body of H2 to protect paint and you can roll the tire right up to the rack.

SJ can you tell me who makrs the rack, they do not seem t5o be able to place the item

The rack is made by Yakima. I bought mine from the Walnut Creek, CA shop and they said it's a popular item so I'm suprised that they can't find it.

Hey SJ can you tell me how much farther the rack sticks up above the factory cross bars? I have only about 4 or 5 more inches before I whack my carport door! THANKS!
