looking to join the family
 

well, i have found a pretty sweet deal on a leftover 2007 (with 0% finacing) that i am going to bite on for the wife. my wife just totaled her 2nd car (i know!:orly: one was her fault the other not) anyyyyyway, so i need to move on a new car for her....i saw the recent CBS safety studies, but i dont understand how they got their ratings...

anyway (again)


found a pretty sweet deal its a lux for $40k, but out the door with the 0% and the GMS (my father in law works for GM) its pretty nice. my wife will totally not be using this for what its intended. it will be used to get her back and forth to work, carpool my 2 year old around, and make her feel safer than the Equinox and HHR that she has already destroyed.

i am pretty excited but also hate to shell out the money it takes for a car....i could always go used and cheaper, but this is a whole lot of car for the cash, so i hope she likes it....she says she does after test driving one.

anyway, hope i made the right decision. seems like gas isnt a big deal since she will be using mostly hwy miles. how does it ride on the highway? im sure we will take this on trips as opposed to my company car...its just the 3 of us right now, so i am hoping for the best!

any issues i should know of?

wait so im confused you did buy it? or looking to buy it? Either way 40k with just the lux package on it seems a bit over, what else does it have on it? And we need details color, and a pic of course! It rides great on the highway remember its a pretty slow starting car and with only four gears its gonna feel a bit more sugglish than most vehicles on the highway. If its extremly windy you can feel it working against the SUV at some points and agai its an offroad SUV not a sports car. But when i take mine on the highway i love it its a very smooth and very comfortable ride. Great for trips!

yeah, its chrome'd....:/ iam either way with it...its my wife's so i dont care really that much as long as she is somewhat satisfied....


the 07s didnt have XM option, right? so as i sift here through the "Search" for ipod interface for a stock unity with no Nav and no XM, what is a boy to do?

no no XM was an option if you got the upgraded stereo system the monsoon one, i bieleve it came with XM/satellite radio. I dont bielve it had an ipod integration thing though. If you need one just buy yourself an iTrip its like 50 bucks and it plays the music fom your ipod onto the radio via an unused frequency i just got myself and it works great.

no can do brotha...i am a sound snob and cant stand FM modulation....must hardwire for best sound....ill find a aux port somewhere

xm was standard in the lux trucks...you should have it if it is a lux...send me the vin and i will verify it for you....
